I have a bad habit, several actually, but the one that will really gets under Mary’s skin is the liquid soap dispenser. When I go to wash my hands & the soap doesn’t come out, I just add a lil water, shake it a couple times and there ya go, problem fixed. My hands are washed & I’ll think about filling the soap dispenser when I don’t have anything else to do.

We can use this strategy for our relationship with God. We’re busy people. There are so many demands on our time, so we go through the motions thinking, ‘Well, I went to church’, ‘I’m a good person’, ‘I intend to get in that Bible study…but later when things settle down’, and ‘I’ll pray & study tonight when I get home’. These & other excuses, give us a false sense of a relationship with God. In reality we are giving God the left-overs of our time & love and…we are not clean. BAM!

Today would be a great day to…

👑 Put Him first. To “Be still & know that I am God” Psalm 46:10

😲 Accept that we are dirty. “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” Romans 3:23

🙏Come to Jesus. “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.” 1 John 1:9

⚡️💪Be filled with the Power of the Holy Spirit. “I pray that God, the source of hope, will fill you completely with joy and peace because you trust in Him. Then you will overflow with confident hope through the power of the Holy Spirit.” Romans 15:13
