It’s an early morning rainstorm coming over the lake. It’s the sound of the rain hitting the steel roof and the rolling thunder in the distance. To me, it’s His whisper, “Be still. It’s Me.”

When we are busy, we miss the small whispers of His presence. Everything God does is intentional. He reveals His Love, Power, Glory, and His desire for a relationship with us through His creation & His Word. “He covers the sky with clouds; He supplies the earth with rain and makes grass grow on the hills. He provides food for the cattle and for the young ravens when they call. His pleasure is not in the strength of the horse, nor His delight in the legs of the warrior; the Lord delights in those who fear Him, who put their hope in His unfailing love.” Psalm 147:8-11.

What if today you tried a different strategy? What if you focused on delighting the Lord? What if you set out today to bring a smile to the One who gives you breath? What if at the end of the day…when it’s just you & your pillow, you have a conversation with Him about your shared delights…called Blessings.
