“For Unto Us A Child Is Born, Unto Us A Son Is Given” Isaiah 9:6

So many things cannot be described in words. This is one of many pictures I call “God Art.” It was taken from space by the Hubble Space Telescope. We get so wrapped up in the insignificance we don’t see the magnificence of His Creation… but thousands of years ago kings, from distant lands, acted upon what they saw. “For we have seen His star in the East and have come to worship Him.” Matthew 2:2. They came to see Jesus.

In 1741, I believe God used George Frideric Handel to put sound to the indescribable. Handel composed the 3-hour masterpiece, “Messiah”, in 24 days. Handel is reported to have “later described his experiencing ‘as it were the heavens opened’ and he was setting the Scriptures and creating this musical portrait of Christ and his future glory.” “The libretto (song lyrics) includes 81 Bible verses from 14 different books of the Bible, with the most coming from the book of Isaiah (21 verses).” Google

The most recognizable piece from Handel’s Masterpiece is the “Hallelujah Chorus.” Here is a 4-minute link from You Tube that will Bless you on this Christmas Day.

As you listen, ponder from Revelation 19:6,17 “Then I heard what sounded like a great multitude, like the roar of rushing waters and like loud peals of thunder, shouting: “Hallelujah! For our Lord God Almighty reigns…. king of kings and lord of lords.” Christmas is more than we can comprehend.

“For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through Him. Whoever believes in Him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son.” John 3:16-18

Jesus came as a baby to be our Savior. He will return for His followers as Our King to reign forever & ever. If you are not a follower of Christ, may today be the day you are “Born Again.”  He is your Christmas gift.

Love The Hallelujah Chorus. It brings back fond memories for me. My high school choir sang portions on Handel’s Messiah including the Hallelujah Chorus. I well remember when we were dong our big Christmas productions at the church singing it in our big choir. It takes a big choir to really do it justice.

Hope you had a wonderful holiday with your family. Might was great!
