Pecked To Death…

Did you know chickens can literally peck other chickens to death? Chickens are attracted to the blood of a wound. Also, when chickens are stressed, they become aggressive. Wow, sound familiar?

This “pecking” also shows up in people. One of the warning signs is “grumbling”. One of the most tragic losses of Blessings is recorded in Exodus. The 2 million people God rescued from slavery, provided food & water in the desert for 40 years were disobedient, discontent grumblers. As a result, they were not allowed to go into the Promise Land. They missed their Blessing.

As it was then…so it is today…”These people are grumblers and faultfinders; they follow their own evil desires; they boast about themselves and flatter others for their own advantage.” Jude 16

James warns us, “Don’t grumble against one another, brothers and sisters, or you will be judged. The Judge is standing at the door!” James 5:9

It is impossible to grumble & Praise God at the same time. Grumbling is a condition of the heart. Grumbling is a choice.

Good Evening, Robert! It’s been a busy week, but a productive one! I’ve read all of the TGN’s this week, and I’ve thoroughly enjoyed each and every one! I literally feel “pecked to death” often, not so much by people’s grumbling (though I’m sure they do that too), but more by people’s demands. I don’t know why I ever thought that retirement would be relaxing! But all in all, I’m privileged to be able to take care of folks, so Praise God for His blessings in whatever form they come! This week’s BSF lesson was mind-blowing to me. As many times as I’ve read it and heard it and thought about it, the material presented brought it to a whole new level for me. If anyone wonders what He’ll is like, all they need to do is look at Jesus’s death on the cross! Who would choose that for eternity? Unthinkable! I hope this finds you and yours doing well! The blog is truly outstanding! Thanks for sharing these, and thanks for your dedication! God bless you, my dear friend!🙏
