A farmer knows without rain there will be no crop. Rain is under control of God’s Sovereign Power. “He makes clouds rise from the ends of the earth; He sends lightning with the rain and brings out the wind from His storehouses.” Psalm 135:7. “Land that drinks in the rain often falling on it and that produces a crop useful to those for whom it is farmed receives the blessing of God.” Heb 6:7

The drought & heat of life reveals what truly is important. Isn’t it interesting that God sends life-saving rain through a storm? From every storm in my life (marriage, cancer, jobs, financial, health, family) God has left me cleaner, refreshed, stronger, closer to Him…ready for another “go-at-it”.

I believe it is this Principle that God inspired James to write: “Consider it pure Joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials (storms) of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.” James 1:2-5.

If you are in a drought of life, may His Word whisper to your heart. “You sent abundant rain, O God, to refresh the weary land.” Psalm 68:9 Oh God may You refresh my friend’s heart with “Living Water” John 7:38
